BuzzKinect came to life during Freshman Year in college of 2015, sparked by a problem of: How do we connect with other students in dorms—and with students in general? Could we create a natural way to break the ice and start conversations? That question led to the creation of Buzz, which gained momentum and was quickly submitted to the Fred Keiser Idea Pitch Competition in March 2016—earning second place and the coveted Audience Favorite award. Since its launch, Buzz has actively transformed campus life, fostering in-person connections, energizing clubs, and strengthening the campus community.
